YAA Baltimore featured great competition, and I highlighted some of the defensive prospects:

Linemen
The overall YAA Baltimore Showcase offensive lineman MVP was St. James Academy sophomore Lucas D-Quintanilla (6-6, 305). Last season, D-Quintanilla played junior varsity at DeMatha, but he will have a better chance to develop at St James Academy. He was 15 at the time of the showcase, to the disbelief of his fellow campers.

Anthony Michael (6-4, 280) is also from Virginia, and he attends Woodson High School. Last year, Michael was an All-District lineman. He is a 3-year starter who has started at both tackle positions. He is waiting for his 1st offer and has been hitting the camps this Spring.
St. Frances Academy had multiple prospects receive MVP awards, including offensive lineman Eric Wynter (6-2, 265). He will likely play offensive guard in college.
MarQuel Irby (6-0, 285) was the other freshman to receive an award for the offensive line. Irby plays the center position at Shaker High School in New York.
Running Back
Fellow campers gave overall running back MVP Gabe Jones (5-9, 180) the nickname Bronny James for his facial resemblance. He was extremely quick during the Cat & Mouse drill and actually had the space reduced because it was too easy for him. Jones expects his carries to increase during his junior year with the graduation of two seniors who combined for 65 percent of the carries.
I watched 2027 Landon Williams (6-0, 185) earn all-IAC honors last season, gaining 1,044 yards with 16 touchdowns at Episcopal. Williams is also a safety prospect, and he says he will play his senior year at Mt. Zion.
Kai Sawi played linebacker last season due to a senior and a logjam at running back. As a freshman linebacker, he stepped in and recorded 82 tackles, including nine tackles for loss. Sawi expects to assume starting running back duties as a sophomore, and he proved his skillset with a running back MVP award and an invite to the YAA National Showcase in Houston.
Ronell Word (5-10, 195) has a solid frame and displays good hands in 1-on-1s against linebackers. He attends Imhotep Charter High School in Philadelphia.
Other running back MVP award selectees at the YouAreAthlete Baltimore Showcase were Peyton Moseley from Washington DC, Jordan DeMar from Maryland, Jasmir Jones from New Jersey, and Traon Sharper from Delaware.
Receiver
Dayshawn Preston (5-11, 180) from Pittsford, New York, was selected overall YAA Baltimore Receiver MVP. His quickness and excellent change of direction led to many east routes. Last season, he had 58 receptions for 720 yards and six touchdowns. He has interest from Fordham, Central Connecticut, and Buffalo.
Junior Donte Jones (5-10, 163) played quarterback at Howard High School in Maryland, but worked out with the receivers, earning an invite to Houston. He passed for 378 yards while adding 823 yards on the ground with 12 touchdowns. He is very shifty and seems like a natural fit at receiver.
Two Virginia prospects earned invites at the receiver position.
Rising senior Corban Dawkins earned All-District at Edison High School after leading the Eagles in receptions with 31 for 301 yards. Abington receiver Judge Dillow (6-1, 200) finished his junior season with 29 Receptions for 620 Receiving Yards and 19 total touchdowns. He has an offer from Cornell.
Jahir Grandberry plays wide receiver for Newark Central in New Jersey and was invited to the National Showcase in Houston. Grandberry had 34 catches for 411 yards and three touchdowns as a junior.
Other YAA Baltimore award winners for receiver were Hudson Cvetkovic from Pennsylvania and Grason Richardson from Maryland.
Quarterback
There were only five quarterbacks for the High School camp, probably due to the Elite11 camp in New Jersey held on the same day. Four freshmen and one sophomore were left to compete for top honors.
Maryland native Antonio Kendrick earned top honors, and Elijah Banks (6-1, 155) appears to have a bright future. Both were invited to the YouAreAthlete Houston Showcase.
Two Virginia quarterback prospects earned invites to the YAA Showcase in Houston next month. Evan Mustafa had 100 yards passing at Wakefield High School with 13 touchdown passes, while Independence quarterback John Halak (6-0, 170) split time between JV and Varsity.
