You Are Athlete traveled to the East Coast this weekend. There are some prospects there who have some interests from college programs in the South..

Cam Toomey is a 2028 four-star edge player according to 247Sports. He is from Saratoga Springs High School (NY). Gene's Page subscribers were able to hear about him last year when staff members made their way to see him in person. He is a 6-foot-4, 260-pound prospect who could also see himself playing an interior defensive lineman position on the next level. Toomey holds offers from Alabama, Auburn and more schools down south. He is also receiving some attention from Mississippi State. Toomey mentioned that he has heard from their staff and is expecting to get an offer from them sometime this year. It could possibly happen after June 15. Last year, Toomey told Gene's Page that he would be very interested in attending a program in the South.
Samuel Furr IV is a 2028 offensive lineman from West Orange High School (NJ). Furr is a 6-foot-4, 310-pound prospect who is starting to pick up more attention from division one programs. Furr did a good job of coming out and proving that he is a player football fans need to know. He is precise with his hands when it is time to follow his legs. Furr does not have that bad habit of reaching for players before he makes sure that he gets his body in front of them. This is going to be a good summer for him to be able to continue to get his name out there. Furr has the height and weight that coaches are looking for in an interior offensive lineman. He is also a player who can move around in the trenches. Edge players and outside linebackers need to keep their head on a swivel when he is on the field.
Khalil McKinnon is a 2028 edge player out of St. Frances Academy (MD). He is also picking up interests from college programs in the south. He is a 6-foot-3, 245-pound prospect who is mean and aggressive in the trenches. Offensive tackles are going to have a hard time dealing with him all night when it is time to protect their quarterback. McKinnon does a good job of bending when he needs to turn a quick corner to get to a QB. He is not a track star, but his speed makes it hard for anybody who is trying to stay in front of him in order to protect their teammate. College football fans are going to want to remember his name. He is going to have a chance to be one of the top prospects in his class.
