I attended the YouAreAthlete camp in Charlotte, which featured prospects primarily from North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia. The camp was divided into a Middle School session in the morning and a High School session in the afternoon. Here are some of the standouts from North Carolina.

High School
Greensboro receiver 2027 Kasai Poindexter (6-0, 170) won an MVP award. He had a big junior season at Page High School in North Carolina, finishing with 32 catches for 735 receiving yards and 10 receiving touchdowns.
Junior Kareem El-Boulaki was among the five offensive linemen Top 5 MVPs. He worked out at tackle and used his large frame (6-4, 300) to his advantage during the pass blocking drills. El-Boulaki plays at Broughton High School in Raleigh, and is still looking for his 1st
Sophomore Caleb Sykes (5-7, 155) from South Garner High School in Raleigh was voted the overall defensive back MVP. Despite a smaller frame, Sykes made it difficult for the pass catchers with several deflections and in-your-face coverage. Sykes
Big John Williams (6-4, 285) from Dunn, North Carolina, is a junior offensive tackle at Midway High School. He was a Top 5 lineman and was selected to the All-American camp in Houston. Williams lined up at right tackle, and he held his own while facing a quality group of pass rushers.
Middle School
Wide receiver Aiden Nash was another YouAreAthlete young gun in the 6th-grade-and-under division. He was the only prospect in either session to be nominated for two different positions. He earned an award as one of the Top 5 receivers in the 6th-grade and under group, as well as Top 5 defense at defensive back.
Edge Amar’e Moore attends Mountain Island Charter Middle School in Charlotte. At 6’2, 200 pounds, Moore probably could have competed at the high school camp held later in the afternoon. He appears to have all the tools to start in his freshman year, and it is easy to see his advanced training.
Receiver Ramelo Daniels was the top receiver I watched during the 6th-grade-and-under drills. While many of the young guns made catches with their body, Daniels stood out using both hands to catch the ball where it was thrown. He is a 2032 prospect who lives in Raleigh.
Cornerback Carter Jaime (6-0, 155) was another 8th-grader I felt could have competed with the high school group. He was my top defensive back, and he spent the morning session locking up the receivers with tight coverage. He is a player I could see having stars behind his name before he finishes his high school career.
