The top youth & middle school prospects from the southeast were in attendance at the YAA Charlotte Junior 150 on Nov 29th.
The prospects below earned an invitation to the You Are Athlete National Junior Showcase on June 13-14th in Houston, TX.
QUARTERBACKS:
TJ Person

Throws with good touch down the field and can drop the ball in over the top of coverage. Can also throw on the move fairly well for a guy his age and he competes.
WIDE RECEIVERS:
Sincere Byrd

Natural pass catcher with a feel for receiver position. Can play outside or in the slot. Has quickness, wit and solid hands.
RUNNINGBACKS:
Calvin Gamble

Gamble shows some patience when needed and the vision to find crease development. Also, showing open field instincts and playmaking skills.
OFFENSIVE LINE:
Gavin Whitney

Big, barrel-chested interior prospect with high school tackle experience. Powerful drive blocker who plays to the whistle and runs defenders out of plays and often finishes.
Bex Mason

Aggressive at the point of attack more times than not. Will latch onto a defender and do his best to open up lanes for the run game by steering them out of the away.
DEFENSIVE LINE:
Xavier Johnson

He is light on his feet and makes plays off the edge and the interior. With his power and bull rush he does an excellent job pushing the pocket and causing disruption.
Amar’e Moore

Relatively newer to D-Line with high developmental ceiling. Moore is gaining experience with every snap. Flashes encouraging disengaging ability thanks to reach and functional play strength.
LINEBACKERS:
Daniel Kugbegah

Runs well, can get to the places on the field he needs to make plays. Also, Kugbegah is smart making proper reads and capitalizing.
DEFENSIVE BACKS:
Carter Jaime

Efficient in his backpedal. Springs in and out of his breaks almost like a rabbit. Closes in a hurry allowing him to mask most mistakes. Also has good length and ball skills.
