YAA Kansas City Top Performers

The You Are Athlete Regional Exposure Camp Series made a stop in Kansas City, MO on March 7th. Some of the top high school prospects from the midwest (Kansas, Missouri, Iowa, Nebraska, and Oklahoma) were in attendance. Prospects from across these regions came out to compete and show why they deserve an invite to the All-American Showcase in Houston.


This showcase always produces major fruit, with players who receive attention following the event. This group is no different with multipe standouts and high-end producers who are set to see their recruitment rise.


The prospects below earned an invitation to the You Are Athlete All American Showcase on May 22-24 in Houston, TX. Several players stood out but these guys took the cake demonstrating upside, skill and catching the attention of our staff.



Top Defensive Line


2028 Edge Carter Sims out of Little Rock Christian HS (AR.)



Sims is a natural pass rusher fits the model for what you’d look for an a collegiate prospect at some level. The big thing for Sims will be to continue to develop his skills at the DE position with such raw ability.


2028 Edge Austin Dostal out Xavier HS (IA.)


Dostal really stood out in pure size and position flexibility. Dostal plays DE but he could possibly slide inside as an interior defender if he continues to grow. He’s quick, has aggressive hands & has good punch when make contact with offensive lineman.


2028 DL Leroi Kamtio out of Gardner Edgerton HS (KS.)


Kanmtio has quick burst off the ball, is a solid off ball defender who uses his physicality at the point of attack to get to the quarterback. He has a solid build at 6’1, 225.


2029 DL Bass Dixon out of Laude HS (MO.)


Dixon has a strong lower half that helps him push the pocket, pairing that with his ability to display a move or two Dixon can affect an offense.


2029 DL Cornell Dixon out of Gardner Edgerton HS (KS.)


His strength is the assset that will help him standout if he’s going to play collegiate football. He needs to continue to develop his frame & moves to truly impact the game the way he wants.asset that will help him stand out


2028 Edge Brennan Baker out of Nixa HS (MO.)


Baker is tough to move once he gets his feet stuck in the ground. He’s also willing to demonstrate his motor and chase down the opposition.



Top O-Lineman


2027 OL Landon Sweat out of Gardner Edgerton HS (KS.)



Sweat is a raw talent who’s looking to make his mark next year as a varsity starter but he showed some ability today. He has solid size as a center/guard frame & displayed good feet.


2027 OL Dalton Wilkett out of Stigler HS (OK.)


Wilkett has a real nasty streak when gets in his grove driving defenders to the ground, pancaking players & making sure his opponents know he made the play.


2027 OL Myles Easley out of Rose Hill HS (KS.)


Easley already has good size at 6’2 300 pounds. The prospect really buys into the position & moves fairly well lately making time for his quarterback to get the ball off.


2028 OL Jevon Payne Jr out of Lincoln Northstart HS (NE.)


Displays above average lateral movement ability with the functional athleticism to engage edge speed when required. Plays with good hand placement. Experienced at tackle and guard and can play both, but the latter is likely higher-ceiling projection in the long run.


2029 OL Chael McCandlish out of Bryant HS (AR.)


Good floor on the offensive line prospect who could play early, but also possesses high-ceiling traits/profile. Not clearly lacking in any particular area and does most things above average to great.


Top WR's


2027 TE Boaz Benson out of Siloam Springs HS (AR.) 



Benson is a big physical prospect who has “jump ball” ability. He could eventually end up flexing out to play TE but most of his tape is at WR. He has D1 potential with the right fit. Crafty, aggressive & with a ping to prove, Benson could be a last-minute steal out the state.


2027 WR Ja'Brien Curtis out of Salina South HS (KS.)


Curtis does a good job on his releases stemming the defensive back and getting into his routes. Curtis knows how to use his size to shield off defenders on inside routes where he uses his length and ball skills to make catches in traffic. As he continues to master the route-tree and gets faster he has alot of growth left in his game.


2028 WR Stevy Townsel out of Gardner Edgerton HS (KS.)


He has good ball skills that help him catch the ball even when contested. The 2026 talent, is a solid blocker & has a subtle way of creating space to get open.


2029 WR Dylan Njuguna out of Olathe North (KS.)


Njuguna is an elusive wideout who leans on his deceptive quickness to separate from defenders. He catch make some surprising catches from time to time even when being guarded closely by defenders.


2028 WR Domani Toney out of Gardner Edgerton HS (KS.)


Plays with field awareness and has good body control. Adjusts to inaccurate passes well. Knows how to use size to position body against smaller defensive backs.


2029 WR George Kidd out of Kirkwood HS (MO.)


Shows burst after catch to pierce defense and has speed to finish plays. Can make tough plays look routine. Willing to play in traffic as well.


2029 WR Liam Corrigan out of Parkway West (MO.)


Corrigan is a long, aggressive receiver with an ability to go over the top of a defender to make a big play or simply just out run you.


2028 WR Isiah Herchenbach out of Elkhorn HS (NE.)


Herchenbach is a dynamic prospect who’s used in a variety of ways for his school. He showed some of that today with his quick twitch skills at the receiver position.


Top RB's


2027 RB Joe Roche out of Logan-Rogersville HS (MO.)



Roche has some get up and go that helps propel him past defenders. He showed that today breaking down several defenders to stand out earning MVP honors.


2029 RB David Jones out of Broken Arrow HS (OK.)


Jones, a talent has quick feet & shows off burst to get upfield. He has solid hands and flexibility to be used in variety of ways for the offense. He displayed good lateral movement & performs well.


2028 RB Jeremiah Wesley out of Bishop Miege HS (KS.)


Welsey is a tough runner, who shows vision & quickness. The rising junior plays with passion & excels in space. Catches the ball well out of the backfield, not just screens but wheel routes and deep balls down the slot


2027 RB Demarye Smith out of Maize HS (KS.)


Displays encouraging sudden acceleration, especially considering long-levered build. He’s both quick and fast with some wiggle and can play every down and in any situation.


2028 RB Braylen Hundley out of Baconton Charter (GA.)


Shows impressive initial burst. Accelerates naturally with urgency. At his best as a linear slasher or in one-cut situations. Can more consistently finish runs, but generally runs hard and with conviction.


2026 RB Vincent Allen out of Shawnee Mission West HS (KS.)


Consistent playmaking option with versatility and athleticism to produce home run plays via hand-off, screen game, downfield targets, and in the return game. Flashes quick, decisive cuts and sudden redirection.


2027 RB Ben Whipple out of Bettendoft HS (IA.)


Patient runner with vision and knows how to set up blocks. Quick feet with stop-start ability. Accelerates well through the hole.


Top QB's


2027 QB Anthony Odom out of Ritenour HS (MO.)



Stands tall in the pocket with the mobility to avoid the rush and buy time to make plays under pressure. Poised and does a nice job making plays off platform. Mechanically displays a smooth, effortless throwing motion. Gets the ball out quickly, generating power from his lower body to have the ball snap out of his hand.


2026 QB Tyson Adrian out of Gardner Edgerton HS (KS.)


Solid ball placement on passes where only the receiver is able to make the play. Plays with impressive anticipation on his throws where you can see that he is throwing his receivers open and out of harm's way.


2029 QB Titus Benson out of Siloam Springs HS (AR.)


Appears to have a loose compact throwing motion. Shows the ability to get the ball out from a variety of angles. Exhibits good foot quickness and the ability to reset his feet in the pocket.


2027 QB Kenyon Bolden out of Parkway North HS (MO.)


Possesses good arm strength and velocity. Excels throwing the deep ball with touch and accuracy. Needs to continue to add some polish in the short to intermediate part of his game, but flashes the accuracy to be a consistent passer at the next level.


Top DB's


2027 DB Jorden Henry out of Kirkwood HS (MO.)



Ascending cornerback prospect with the ideal mix of ball skills and speed. Likely to find the most success in a defensive scheme that wants to man-up on the outside and get aggressive, but could also always get a look over the top with his range.


2027 DB Lake Sutton out of Oak Park HS (MO.)


He’s a physical corner who does a nice job playing the football and shows the ability to play as a safety or as a nickel at the next level.


2028 DB Shaun Johnson out of Hazelwood East HS (MO.)


He has the speed to turn and run with anyone down the field and has no issues getting down hill in run support and throwing his body in to an opposing ball carrier.


2027 DB Jamisen Flowers out of Gardner Edgerton HS (KS.)


Could offer some flexibility in the secondary at the next level, but has the ideal skillset for a boundary role given how he jams and mirrors. Transitions well and understands how to pass off assignments in zone coverage.


2028 DB Ashton Chapple out of Little Rock Christian Academy (AR.)


Impressive short-area burst allows to not only recover and erase mistakes, but also jump routes and generate takeaways. Has been asked to play a lot of off-man coverage out on the perimeter.


Top LB's


2028 LB Dawson Cassida out of Gardner Edgerton HS (KS.)



Cassida has an ability to take quickly diagnose the play, take proper angles and close. Also, shows flashes of downhill pursuit juice that manifest in some arriving pop.


2027 LB Quinton Thomas Jr out of C.E King (TX.)


A territory defender, but has shown 1-on-1 potential covering backs as a linebacker in numerous settings. Flows well to the ball & attacks the opposition.


2029 LB Victor Williams Jr out of East St. Louis HS (IL.) 


Active playing down hill and shows he can play in coverage. Athletic, instinctual player who brings physical element to defense. Is quick to diagnose and find ball carrier in traffic.


2028 LB Jordan McNeal out of Marquette HS (MO.)


Fluid mover with large catch radius that manifests in offensive reps and in coverage. Instinctive, aware football player who could thrive at multiple spots.


2028 LB Donovan Holt out of St. Mary's Southside Catholic HS (MO.)


Has body control to make tackles in space. Sure tackler and goes through ball carrier. Shows twitch when blitzing off edge. Can drop into coverage and cover tight end or stay in flat.


2027 LB Perry Nelson out of Parkhill South (MO.)


Nose for the football player who plays with a high motor. More build-up speed than twitchy accelerator, but plenty fast/athletic relative to build.
